For $60 a night, it's alright. You're not going to get a Hilton experience at that price, so people should stop expecting one. Could be a whole lot worse.

We enjoyed chatting with the manager, who had plenty of entertaining stories. The room was newly renovated this time, in Oct 2013, with a new mattress, appliances, carpet, and paint. It was a fine, satisfactory stay, and we look forward to coming back. We had stayed here six months earlier too, and there were issues then.

Everything was stained, broken, or sticky, and the air conditioning was stuck on what felt like permafrost and smelled of old piss. Cockroaches might rate the place five stars, though they were alive in only one of the two rooms we booked. It's so repulsive that not taking a shower made me feel cleaner.

I won't go along with prices like this. I called to ask, and they want $250 a week or $900 a month. Not long ago, these same rooms were $150 weekly. What could justify a $100 increase? It can't be food or gas prices. That's ridiculous and ignorant. Anyone paying that much for a motel of this caliber must be desperate and very tired. I'm not contributing to it.
