Irish Inn And Suites

I booked a room with two beds for two employees, after asking several times to confirm it was a two-bed room. On check-in day, they texted that their room had only one bed and asked if they could get a two-bedroom. When I called to fix it, the Indian lady wouldn't let me change anything or use a card. Instead of helping sort out the problem, they yelled at me. Never sending any employees here again. -00000000/10, absolutely horrible.

Cute place and a nice price, with clean rooms. The pamphlet said there was continental breakfast, but when I went to get my morning coffee, there wasn't any, and nobody was around to ask.

We tried another motel down the street first, but it was so dirty and disgusting that I called the Irish Inn. The young woman at the front desk was polite and accommodating, check-in was easy, and the rate was affordable. Our room was clean. It's really the only decent motel along this stretch of road.

The rooms aren't fancy, but they meet my simple needs. They're fairly quiet despite being right on busy US 84, and parking is convenient near the entrance with what looks like enough spaces most nights. Pets and smoking aren't allowed, which I appreciate if those rules are enforced. The rooms seem secure, especially since, as far as I know, they're all inside the hotel and reached from a long hallway. Still, there were plenty of problems: the TV and room phone didn't work, and the key kept failing until I had to wake the clerk to reprogram it. The lobby, check-in desk, and breakfast area are always locked, and there's no breakfast or way to get snacks. The clerk is only available after you ring, and the clerks aren't friendly or appreciative of your business. It's especially hard to understand them through the glass partition. Cooking odors aren't pleasant, and neither are the smells from nearby feed yards, though the whole town smells like a huge cow lot. I came back to edit my negative review because I do appreciate the quiet, parking, and rules about pets and smoking. But Irish Inn shouldn't advertise free breakfast when it isn't available.
