The hotel was a letdown, and I wouldn't choose it again. Most of the staff were nice, though a few were rude enough that I might have left early if the week hadn't been prepaid. I came to Indiana to visit a friend for a week and wanted a decent location, reasonable price, and good quality. The advertised impression made this seem like the place, but at $130 a night the royal sweet with jacuzzi wasn't worth it. I got the rate down to $79 for the week, and still didn't feel it was worth that. The good points were its quiet atmosphere, well-muffled sounds between rooms and outdoors, and convenient spot near stores, restaurants, and things to do, just a block or a few away. Inside, though, the room was huge but extremely old. The bed looked and felt heavily used, and there were stains on the floors, bedding, and beds. The heater/cooler vent was broken, which could be dangerous if kids put their hands in it. The pool had been closed since December or earlier, but nobody told me. The wireless was supposedly high speed, but seemed to come from the doors of only two rooms, and elsewhere I could barely connect. The jacuzzi jets barely worked, so it felt like a giant bathtub, not what I paid for. Curtains left gaps at the sides of the windows, letting in bright outside lights, and a smoke detector light kept flashing on the ceiling all night. Not happy with the stay.
