Maple Ridge Motel

We regretted booking here after a disappointing stay last year. We hadn't realized this was the same place, formerly called terrace motel. There have been a few improvements, but not many. The sheets were stained, there were dirty socks and trash under the bed, and no amenities were provided.

Katie at the front desk made the night for us. She was so helpful and kind, and even gave each of us a rock from her collection as a good luck charm for the road. My two grown kids and I were stopping overnight before heading on to Minnesota, looking for something affordable but nice. The room was simple and spotless, and the beds and pillows were so comfortable that I slept soundly, even though I usually toss and turn in unfamiliar beds. People like Katie make a real difference. ❤️

The price was the highest we paid on vacation, which made the condition of the place even harder to accept. The rooms smelled musty and weren't very clean, and the bathrooms were disgusting. Locks were poor and the peepholes didn't work. If you want to feel like you're in the Bates Motel, this is the place.

I paid $134 for a room without air conditioning, which felt way too expensive for the area. The front desk also forgot to leave an after-hours key, so I waited 40 minutes for someone to bring one. It's not convenient enough to town, and the place isn't nice. I'd strongly recommend staying at a different hotel.
