Range Country Lodging

We’ve stayed here on many trips out west and always have a good visit. The staff are friendly, especially Dawn at the front desk, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We’ll keep coming back on future road trips.

The town is small but has a big heart, and this lodge turned out to be a wonderful place to stay. It’s a stunning little slice of country housing, just the kind of breather your soul needs when life is stressful. The location may throw you off at first, and the town looks a bit old at a glance, but don’t let that put you off. We’re in room 302 and it’s impeccable, with lots of space, unbelievably soft, comfortable beds, and a bathtub deep enough for the soaking bath your body needs. The staff are sweet, friendly, and love pets. Pets stay free, but please keep them off the furniture. The lobby makes another impressive sight after the breathtaking view when you pull in. I’m glad I trusted my gut and heart and chose this lodge. Make that reservation and enjoy the pool spa and pizzeria. Much love from an Alaskan sole.

It’s a small room for five of us, but everyone slept great, and having a second sink outside the bathroom was a big help for our family. The pool and hot tub are nice, and breakfast has a chuck wagon feel. This is an independent hotel with top-notch charm, friendly service, and a cute town. It’ll get you in the mood for a trip out west, or, like it did for us, send you off on a high note at the end of one.

The hotel turned out to be great, even though I was skeptical when we drove into town because it didn’t give off a good vibe. The staff were friendly, the room was VERY clean, and the bed was VERY comfortable. With three back surgeries, most hotel beds and I don’t mix, so that really mattered. The hotel has been updated. This is a suggestion, not a complaint: the bathroom in our mobility-accessible room had no table or cabinet for clothes. A small table or a couple of hooks for clean clothes would help, since I like to get dressed in private after showering, lol. Many rooms have exterior doors, so if you want to back up to the door to unload the car, call ahead to see if one is available. There’s a 4% extra charge for paying by card, which wasn’t mentioned when booking on the external website. The town’s not too great, but this hotel is a little diamond in the rough. We’ll definitely stay again!
