We were unsure about staying after booking through IHG and then reading the reviews, so we called the hotel. They said the negative reviews were from before and during construction. When we arrived, the hotel had been remodeled and was clean and welcoming. It isn't brand new, but the renovation is nice and the staff were great. It's pet-friendly, and the pet fee was reasonable. Our first-floor room made it easy to take the dog outside. Breakfast was hot, fresh, and tasty.

I stayed here on February 13th. The hotel was pretty good in every other way, but its TV can't connect to the internet, so I couldn't use YouTube or Netflix. That needs fixing.

The renovations were poorly done. I had to leave the entry light on for the bedside light and outlet to work, which caused trouble with my CPAP. The bathroom was old, its door was rotted at the bottom, and the bathtub was slippery. The bed was comfortable, and everyone was friendly.

We were supposed to stay two nights, but the condition of our room made us leave after the first. We have plenty of pictures showing what the rooms were like. The owner even saw us packing up as he walked past our room. Now they're offering points instead of a refund. It seems the person at the front desk didn't record our complaints, only that we were leaving to get home because of the weather.

The hotel was being renovated when we arrived, and the lobby was packed with construction equipment, new and old materials, garbage, and painting work. If it were your home, you wouldn't be able to live in it. We were told there was no cleaning or room service during construction. If you don't mind construction noise, paint smells, no room service, and funky rooms, go ahead and book. Otherwise, don't waste your money.
