Holiday Inn Express & Suites Murfreesboro West by IHG

The one snag was the Wi-Fi: we could use it in the lobby, but attempts to connect from our second-floor room kept timing out. Otherwise, it was a really restful visit, and we plan to come back. We were traveling with my spouse and our two adult-sized children, so the two-queen suite worked perfectly since nobody had to share a bed. The room was roomy, spotless, and comfortable, with beds we all liked and a spacious bathroom. The shower head was high enough for my tall family, including people who are 6'2", 5'11", and 5'10". I believe the hotel was built in 2024, and everything was in great shape. Breakfast had plenty of hot choices, including pancakes from a machine, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy, plus toast, hard-boiled eggs, and yogurt. It wasn't gourmet, of course, but it was good. We didn't need much from the staff, but they were welcoming at arrival, breakfast, and checkout.

The room and shared areas were very clean, the beds were comfortable, and even on very cold days the common spaces felt cozy. Breakfast was hot and ready each morning. We also had brief encounters with other Holiday Inn team members, and they were all pleasant. Melodie Elaine made a big difference right from the start. My husband and I arrived tired and hungry without a reservation, and she quickly got us into a comfortable room and took time to listen and suggest several kinds of restaurants. We had a great stay at this Holiday Inn Express in Murfreesboro, TN, and we'll stop here next time we're traveling through. Thanks again!

We got a lot for our money, and the price was fantastic. The area feels very safe, with plenty of shopping and good restaurants nearby, though new construction is still going on. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a desk and chair as well as a chaise. I liked the walk-in shower and the liquid hand soap. Breakfast had a nice range of cold and hot foods, including sausage, omelette, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, muffins, pastries, fresh fruit, juice, and coffee. The dining and serving areas were very clean. Service was great throughout, and we'll stay here again.

The staff were friendly, and when we found only three towels despite having four people in the room, we asked the front desk for more. They brought them within a few hours. Breakfast was plain, which is fine, but the table signs advertised eggs and bacon and those weren't served. There's unlimited lobby coffee, but no filtered-water fountain. Tap water tasted bad to us, so we bought jugs at a store instead. A few things to consider before booking: the air conditioners kept cycling on and off, leaving the rooms humid. The smoke detector flashed so brightly that it felt like a disco ball while trying to sleep. The TV had limited functions for all four nights. The front desk said it was being worked on and would be fixed by the end of day two, but it never was. The sprinkler system ran often and sprayed cars, so I tried three parking spots before finding one where mine wouldn't get wet. There were hard-water spots everywhere. For roughly $200 a night after taxes, I'd probably look at other hotels next time. It's a new hotel, so perhaps they're still working out the kinks.
