We were pleasantly surprised to find a king bed instead of the advertised queen. The large, open room was nice and very clean inside, even though the outside looked a little rough. It had good shower pressure, a microwave, mini fridge, coffee pod maker, sitting area, and a small table. The Amazing Grace and romantic cabin theme was a bit odd, but didn't matter much. The bathtub set into the floor looked like it was meant to be a romantic hot tub, but it was just a regular tub and hard to get in and out of. The internet was troublesome at first, then improved the next day. On both mornings, around 6am, a loud noise in the walls woke me up for about 30 minutes. It sounded like high-pressure water running, then gradually faded. My husband slept through it, and I couldn't tell if it came from another room. Still, it was a good place to stay for a few days while exploring the diamond state park.

Our room had a soaking tub by a fireplace, with furnishings that fit the "Amazing Grace" theme. The rustic decor was charming and inviting, and the bed was super comfortable. After a tiring trip, the great water pressure and hot water were a real plus. The themed rooms are gorgeous, highly recommended!

Denise, the owner of Samantha's Timber Inn, emailed us early in the week with a weather update, which really impressed me. She has been so sweet from the start and made it clear she cares about her guests, past and future. My husband and I had reservations for 01/25-01/28 for our 29th anniversary, but the weather kept getting worse. We were still going to try to come, but eventually had to make the painful decision to cancel. I'm so distraught that we can't make it. I'll look into booking again when the weather isn't so crazy. Denise, thank you again for everything you've done for us.

The kids loved the rustic themed suite, and it was very clean. It's close to the crater of diamonds, though the Wi-Fi buffered for long stretches.

It’s a good location for crater of diamonds, maybe 3 or 4 miles away. The room was great, the bed extremely comfortable, and it was very quiet. The owner was amazing and took care of any questions or needs right away. I recommend the place and will come back.
