Quality Inn Murray University Area

The staff were friendly and gave great service, and the room had a microwave, refrigerator, clean linens, and clean bath items. The pool area looked nice. I missed the turn-in because of traffic and had to turn around, so the sign might be better closer to the main road. Still, the musty smell was noticeable, especially in the hallway and my room. I didn’t have an allergic reaction, but some people may be put off by it, with reason. The building is older, with wooden doors and hallway carpet that might hold the odor. Paint could cover it for a while, but I’d ask the owners to investigate, get rid of the smell, and keep it from coming back instead of just covering it up. There were also some pictures missing from the room, with holes left unrepaired, and what looked like mold or something on the inside of the picture glass.

My friend and her girls stayed here. Their room was neat and cozy, and the girls really enjoyed the indoor pool.

We were put in a second-floor room, but nobody mentioned there was no elevator until after we’d checked in. The stairs were poorly carpeted, and the top step is slanted enough to be hard to handle, especially with luggage. I tripped there while carrying mine and fell, bruising my arm and leg quite badly and hurting from the fall. I told the desk, but they didn’t seem concerned. I can’t recommend this motel.

Cable and the usual extras were there, and the room was okay. The pool was nice.
