TownePlace Suites by Marriott Salt Lake City Murray

The lack of a sidewalk in the parking lot led to a sprained ankle, and the staff felt cold and unhelpful. The coffee was cold too. Breakfast was manufactured eggs with meats I wasn't sure about, and the shower had no door. TV, aircon, laundry, housekeeping, all bad. I found everything about this motel terrible. Marriott is terrible, and to me this motel is another example of the gaslighting Americans are getting from billionaires running this country. Don't stay here. Find somewhere else.

The room was lovely, especially the little kitchen with real dishes and silverware. Parking was easy and complimentary, and the property was close to the main shops, easy to get to, and near places to eat. The staff made the stay, particularly Miss Lynne Hall, who went out of her way to make things enjoyable. Everything went well, and I loved the stay from every perspective.

Having a separate living room gave us a nice place to relax, and the location was convenient. The kids loved swimming in the indoor pool even while it was snowing outside. TownePlaceSuites by Marriott at Murray was clean and comfortable for our big family, and hot breakfast was included :)

The full kitchen amenities were really convenient, and the hotel has great amenities overall. But the room AC made it hard to sleep. It shut off at night whenever it stopped detecting motion, so the room got hot and stuffy. I'd have to get up and move in front of the thermostat every 3-5 minutes to restart it. I can see why they'd save energy when people are out during the day, but this was a huge hassle at night. After 1:30 AM, it would stay on overnight, so good luck falling asleep before then. I heard other guests mention the same issue at breakfast. One had called maintenance, but the problem came back the next night and the room reached 82. I hope the hotel looks into fixing this.
