The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, relaxed, and knowledgeable about how things worked. They answered every question clearly, with no fumbles, and were transparent. The location is very good if you’re working at TVA Colbert, and the place seems to be run by a local family, which has pros and cons. The room smelled like feet because of the AC. The ice machine stayed broken for the roughly 10 days I was there. Some towels and sheets smelled bad, had odd streaks, or someone else’s pubic hair, which made me question whether clean linens were actually clean. My microwave had a large burnt spot, and the plate wouldn’t rotate, so I had to turn my food container by hand now and then. Breakfast was free but not great. It’s decent for up to a few weeks. You get what you pay for, but it’s alright for the price and location.

The room was quiet and clean, so I got a good night’s sleep. At checkout, the man checked the room and returned our deposit. He was professional and kind, just like the helpful, professional staff member at check-in.

We booked online because we needed a pet-friendly hotel in Muscle Shoals, AL. We unexpectedly needed to check in a little early, and the staff accommodated us with a simple request. The room was basic but clean, and the solid surface floor was a nice surprise. Management and staff had a great attitude and were excellent.

The room is good, affordable, and quiet, which is another reason I like it. The ice machine and dryer don’t work, but I like the room.
