OYO Hotel Mona Lake Muskegon

We left without staying because no one was there when we arrived, even though customer service had assured me a late check-in was fine. The building was run down, and there was garbage around the area. After discussing it, we decided our truck, trailer, and the trailer's contents wouldn't be secure there. I've never been so disappointed with a booking. I would not recommend it.

The outside looks a little worn, but the new owners seem to be working on improvements and the staff were very friendly. Our room was nice and quiet. We did have to wipe up some spilled water from the floor, and the towel we used turned black. Aside from that, the room was good, and I'd consider staying again.

I liked my week here enough to pay for a couple of extra days. The rooms were very clean, and the front desk staff were amazing. Everyone was respectful and communicated well.

The hotel's own staff are friendly and quick to help when anything's missing. The beds are very comfortable, and the rooms feel well put together. My problem is the customer service line: they won't help with bookings, push things on you, and offer promotions that don't work. I've had them overcharge me and make payments disappear. I'd rate the experience higher because the hotel itself and its employees are good, but dealing with customer service is awful.
