The Atlantica itself is very nice, but dealing with the people who own the rooms was a headache. They were two hours late sending the check-in information, and after we got home I'll contact them again and update this review if they make things right. We were there for a week and still hadn't heard what they planned to do. I reserved and paid for a classic two-bedroom condo with one king bed and three twin beds. Instead, one bedroom had a king and the other had a queen plus a pull-out chair. It looked nothing like the photos or what I'd paid for. There was a strong urine smell when we walked in. I contacted the owners, but got no response. The people cleaning around the property did very poor work with very little effort. I'd recommend staying somewhere else.
Unit 657 was beautiful, with what looks like a newly redone kitchen and living room. We loved the view from the sixth-floor balcony, and there were plenty of fun things to do within walking distance. We couldn't be happier with our stay.
Never rent an Airbnb from Janet and Zhen. They tried to charge us for damage that was already there, then waited until the last hour to send the charges, leaving no time to change our Airbnb review. I assume this happens to a lot of people so they can keep their rating high. The rental looks much better in the pictures; in person, the remodeling looks like it was done by someone inexperienced. :)
We stayed in units 451 and 452. Both had been fully updated and were very clean, and Casago Myrtle Beach was great to deal with. The location is right by the boardwalk. Highly recommend! Update: We just got back, and there have been more positive changes. The front desk area has been remodeled, which is a nice improvement since it's the first thing you see when you arrive.
When we arrived for our reservation, the room hadn't been cleaned or organized. It was disgusting and frustrating to arrive tired and find that instead of being able to rest. We called to report the mess, and they said they'd send a cleaning team at midnight.
