The woman at the front desk was kind and friendly, I’ll give her that. But the online pictures are false advertising. They show beautiful rooms, while the actual room was a nasty, run-down motel. Dead roaches were everywhere, including inside light fixtures. There were stains on the wall and pubic hair on the shower ceiling. The bathroom lock worked from the outside only, so there was no privacy and someone could lock you in. The microwave was old and rusty, the chairs were stained and gross, and the keycards only worked some of the time. There was mold behind the beds and nightstands, a broken bathroom fan, scratches on the floor and door that looked like someone had been in a fight, and a large crack in the front-door glass covered with duct tape. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. I could keep listing things, but I’ll stop here. Avoid it.

The pool was filthy and green, trash filled the staircases, and the path to the beach was dangerous, with overgrown beach grass. The listing on Expedia showed a kids’ pool, but there wasn’t one. The picnic tables and chairs were broken, and there are only stairs, no elevator, despite the claimed accessibility. My room smelled, the phone didn’t work, and the tiny fridge and microwave were broken. The AC was out, and the humidifier was full of dust and lint. The floors and walls were dirty, rusty, and moldy, and nearly everything in the room seemed broken. Nobody cleaned the room or replied to my emails asking them to do so. I had to wash the floor myself because it turned my and my baby’s feet black. I wish I’d found another hotel. The photos don’t match the rooms, as others have said. This place is awful and should be shut down. Beware, don’t book here.

There was a nice beach view, and it was a short walk to the beach in a convenient location. I didn’t see any bugs during my stay, despite reading reviews about them. But the pool was noisy with people screaming and carrying on at 1, 2, and 3 a.m., even though it closed at 10 p.m. People also slammed doors, screamed, and threw things down the stairs one night. With nobody really monitoring the hotel, it felt like people came and went as they pleased and treated the pool as their own. I stayed because I’d read that refunds weren’t full and didn’t want to lose vacation money. We had two small children but were put on the top floor, up three flights of stairs, so you may want to ask for a lower room. There was sand caked on the floor when we arrived, and I never saw housekeeping. Sheets and towels weren’t replaced; we had to go to Days Inn to ask for them, and we were given garbage bags to take out our own trash. The bins at the stair landings had mold around them and smelled of rotting food all week. The pool was the only thing I saw being cleaned daily. Shower water took ages to get hot, the bathroom flooring was broken with what looked like rabbit droppings in the cracks, and there was no hand soap, so I had to buy some.

We stayed three days, and the patio was filthy. Trash and a dead bird were out there the whole time, and we had to empty the dehumidifiers three times a day. The microwave and fridge were dirty, and everything felt old and nasty. There’s no ice machine, and the parking lot felt unsafe after dark. You have to check in at the hotel next door. It is on the beach, but it wasn’t worth it. I don’t want to know when the rooms were last cleaned. The pictures on the booking sites and their website fooled me when I booked for my son’s birthday.

I gave it two stars for being on the beach, having easy access from the room, and offering plenty of parking. I wanted a good value room by the water and booked through Southwest hotels for $146.13 for one night, including a bonus Southwest point. I’d read some bad reviews and hoped the hotel wouldn’t be as bad as people said. Sadly, I lost that bet. Our supposed beachfront room actually faced the pool. The pool has beach access, but you can’t see much of the ocean from that “beach front room.” Everything in the room, from the accessories to the fixtures, looked old and worn out to the point of being nasty. Based on what I saw, I can’t see how any rooms match the main photos on Google Maps and Southwest hotel sites. Buyer beware, those pictures must be AI enhanced.
