Blu Atlantic Oceanfront Hotel & Suites

The TV was a problem throughout the stay. Someone came with a special remote and got it working, but after we turned it off, the same issue was back the next day. I expect the next guest will run into it too. We had booked an oceanfront room, but were assigned a first-floor patio that opened straight onto the pool, which felt uncomfortable for us and for people sitting outside. When we asked at check-in for another room, the clerk made no effort to move us, even though rooms seemed to be available. I checked online and still saw oceanfront rooms listed. The property is quite old, though the rooms have been updated for an exterior-style motel.

We had a great ocean view, and the hotel is pet friendly. The rooms were very clean and somewhat updated. Sitting out on the balcony was the one drawback because cigarette smoke from other guests drifted over. The staff weren't at fault, since guests are told at check-in not to smoke there. Tonja was our first point of contact, and after a tiring trip she took time to help us get settled with a wonderful, friendly attitude. Everyone on staff was sweet and willing to help with whatever we needed.

Tanja at the front desk was so friendly and helpful, and we'll stay here again. We've been here twice for work, and the rooms have been clean, with comfortable beds and excellent bathrooms. The suite worked perfectly for our family, with a huge bathroom, and getting to the beach is easy.

Tonja made check-in quick and easy, and whenever we needed help she responded right away. She even refroze our ice packs so we could take them home. Her service really stood out. The room was spotless, the shower had great water pressure, and the bed and pillows were comfortable enough for a really good night's sleep. Blu Atlantic has direct beach access, and the clean, well-kept pool area had plenty of loungers. Between the location, the facilities, and Tonja's care, the stay was even better than expected.
