Coral Sands

The room itself was clean, but the property is in awful condition and needs major repairs. We saw one roach in the bathroom, and I’m sure there were others. They’re badly understaffed. The woman in the office was wonderful and brought us clean towels and comforters, even though they weren’t in the room when we arrived. She was clearly trying to handle everything herself and being run ragged. A lamp in our first room stopped working soon after we got there, then came back on in the morning. Maybe an electrical issue. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

The only part I liked was the pool. It was clean. The room was unbearably hot because the air conditioning barely worked, and my two- and five-year-old and I all got covered in bedbug bites. My two-year-old had more than 20 bites across his little body. There were also water bugs and roaches. The whole room had one small lamp, and the light by the sink was out. The stairwell smelled like urine, too. Gross. I’d give zero stars if I could. Having that many bugs is unacceptable, and I absolutely don’t recommend this place.

We lasted about twenty minutes. After carrying all our things up two flights, we found a filthy room. The air conditioner was running full blast, but it was still as hot inside as outside. The door knob was smashed, and the door wouldn’t close properly in its frame. We left after booking another hotel. We’d already paid for two nights, but they refused a refund and said guests had stayed in the room for the previous four days without complaining. Don’t stay here, you’ll regret it.

We ended up leaving after a terrible runaround with the rooms. The first one wasn’t clean, and the next one had a shower that didn’t work. The office gave us keys to three other rooms before we found one with a working shower. Then the manager got an attitude because we hadn’t moved our belongings into that room. We decided to go elsewhere, but she wouldn’t refund us and tried to charge us for two rooms because we’d gone to another room to shower. Awful experience. Don’t stay here.
