The room and pool were dirty, and the place wasn't wheelchair friendly. We told them someone in our party used a wheelchair and the elevator wasn't working. They just looked at us and basically said, “oh well.” We didn't stay, but they wouldn't return our money. I don't see how this place is still open. Someone replied to my review saying they could talk about a refund, but I never heard back. I tried disputing the charge with my credit card company, and they fought that too. All I wanted was a nice vacation for my mother, who's been in and out of the hospital for two years. Please don't book here. I feel they scammed us and could do it to anyone.

There were no working elevators or fire alarms, no pool, and no balconies. The place was dirty and nothing like the ads. The supposed oceanfront view was of a mangy parking lot. We got no apologies either. When we pulled up, I honestly thought it was a trafficking scheme. We wouldn't have made it through a night there, much less enjoyed a trip. Myrtle Beach can be a little rough, but this place was unbelievably bad. Luckily, we found somewhere a few blocks down. If you need somewhere to sleep, you'd be better off getting arrested and staying in jail. Negative stars. This review is much nicer than how I really feel about the place.

We were only booked for two nights, and I was already counting them down. At first we couldn't even find the office because the parking lot was blocked and there were no signs. Then they gave us a different room from the one on my confirmation. The front desk person said, “that's not what our system states,” and had no personality at all. That first room was rough: the sofa bed was old and stained, the air conditioner was set to 60 but barely worked, and when we tried to adjust it the smoke detector started going off. There wasn't even a TV remote. The pool by the building was green. We went back and got the room I had actually reserved. It was better, mostly, until we woke up to the bathroom flooded from the ceiling above. The pictures don't match what we found. Maybe that's what the hotel is supposed to look like after renovations, because this wasn't it. I feel for the family arriving after us for a whole week, especially after their drive of more than 10 hours.

We were on the third floor with two kids, and the elevator didn't work at all. We ended up cutting the vacation short because we couldn't sleep comfortably. The place looks nothing like the pictures. This is actually the Sea Mist, and it's run down. The main parking area was blocked, there were no signs, no Wi-Fi or TV, and all the pools, including the lazy river, were closed. Our balcony had been screwed shut. Only one room had air conditioning, and the other had no hot water. We weren't told any of this until I asked. There was no toilet paper either. When I called, they told me to come get some. The rooms had no phones, and the customer service was horrible. This is definitely my worst trip so far, and I'll never book here again.

We paid $700 for a room and didn't even have a working TV. When I went back to the office to ask them to fix it or do something, they didn't seem to care. It was Saturday, raining, and we had nothing to watch. The hotel had lots of pools and other facilities, but only two of the outdoor pools were open, and they were nasty. The pool area also had trash around it, and the rooms weren't cleaned well. Getting checked in for the Fourth of July weekend was miserable. We waited an hour and a half in a line that stretched out the door into the parking lot. It was 100 degrees outside, and there wasn't any air conditioning in the check-in area. The hotel itself was in poor shape. I'll never stay here again.
