The $110 cleaning fee really upset me. We were told to bag towels and bed linens separately, wash every dish and put it back in the cabinets, wipe counters clean of hair, water, and grease, and sweep up sand and hair. If we’re doing all that, what does the $110 cover besides washing and replacing towels and linens? I’ve stayed in many condos and Airbnbs and have never had such a full checkout list along with a high cleaning fee. Then they still wanted a tip. Why would I tip after doing 98 percent of the cleaning? The place itself was older, but that was okay. It was spacious, the AC and heat worked great, and the furniture was comfortable. The queen bed, though, was extremely uncomfortable and so old it squeaked when we breathed. We aren’t spring chickens, and we’re up and down during the night. We bought a mattress topper, which helped. I liked having 1.5 baths, and there were enough towels for our stay, though they felt like sandpaper. The reps weren’t nice when I spoke to them. I also called for help with check-in and had to leave a message. No one called me back. I eventually found the email in my junk folder that let us get in, but that isn’t how to conduct business. I’d never recommend this place.
