We arrived late and didn't have another place lined up, or we definitely would have left. For what we paid, I was really disappointed. Mold was growing in several spots, including a large area over the master toilet and between the master and tub. The floors were very dirty, and we had to wash all the dishes before using them. There were dirty towels in the master shower, holes where the drywall was falling apart, and trim coming loose. One bed in the small room had dirty sheets, and a leg fell off the chair at the end of the table. I had to clean the unit, wash dishes, and remake the bed myself. Three people with lung problems had to breathe that mold. I'm sending pictures.

The pool is simple but relaxing, with shade for most of the morning and early afternoon. I also liked the two electric coded gates on the way in, the grill area looked decent, there was night security, and the beach was an easy walk. But the hot tub was colder than the pool, and the old building showed its age. The elevators barely worked properly during the day. We stayed in condo 1003: it was spacious, but filthy, with sticky, stained floors and furniture and mold in the vents. The living room TV hardly worked. The front bathroom has a low-flow toilet, so you have to hold the handle down until it flushes. If the place were cleaned up, it could be nice. The staff were friendly, which is the only reason I’d give it two stars instead of one.

The pool area was nice, and I liked having shaded spots, but the hot tub was colder than the pool. Our room had plenty of space and the basics we needed, though for what we paid I expected it to be cleaner. The living room carpet was covered in stains. The elevators broke at least once a day, and since we were on the tenth floor with a couple of people who have mobility issues, we got stuck up there until they were fixed. I understand that things break, but it kept happening. Staff also knocked on our door to fix a TV that was working, then later to spray for pests, which we declined. That should have been scheduled when nobody was staying in the room. At half the price, I’d have had no complaints. For the amount we paid, the stay should have been much better.

The front desk staff were great, but after going down there upset and crying over one problem after another, I don’t want to return. We paid $2,500 for five days and got almost no service. Housekeeping never came, even after I called again and again. I had to bring our dirty towels to the desk for replacements. When I asked for toilet paper, someone opened the door and tossed it into the room. They didn’t take the towels or trash, either. The pool looked shiny at first, but by the second day it was cloudy, with grimy sand around the bottom. They seemed to be cleaning in the morning, but it still looked nasty. The hot tub was warm for about five minutes, then blew cold water. The view from 1003 was lovely, and most bedrooms were spacious, though one was so tiny it would make a sailor swear. The carpet was disgusting, so bring house shoes unless you want black feet. Don’t count on things working: our dryer didn’t, and the kitchen had just one pan and a pizza pan, so bring what you need to cook. This was our first family vacation with our nine-month-old grandbaby. On the first day, someone tried to enter with a pass key. When my son opened the door, the person looked surprised and asked if the TV worked. The next day someone else tried to come in and spray for bugs. We said no, we were on vacation with a baby and our belongings in the room. We had another discussion with an employee during the stay. We paid way too much for a place with no service, and I wouldn’t come back if we had a choice.

We stayed in unit 205, and it was clearly not cleaned before we arrived. There were clothing tags and a toothbrush left behind, stains on the pull-out sofa and two beds, and we had to wash the sheets right away. The unit was outdated and filthy. Paint was peeling off the ceiling, the kitchen and hallway main lights didn’t work, bugs were everywhere, and the front door looked as if it had been kicked in. There was black mold coming from an air vent, and the air filters were filthy. We called maintenance twice about the electrical problems and the filter. Only one TV worked, the washer and dryer leaked, and the garbage disposal was broken. For seven people, they left only two rolls of toilet paper for the whole trip. One bedroom was about the size of a walk-in closet, with two twin beds crammed into it. We had to deep-clean before we could even sit down. I could list more, but this place was a complete disappointment, as was the company advertising it. Please don’t rent it; it’s a waste of money and time.
