I went to the front desk to pay the pet fee and ask about extending my stay. They said an extension wasn’t possible because of concerns about my conduct toward another employee. That caught me off guard. I was told the decision was based on the information they had, and I’d have to speak directly with the hotel manager to discuss it further. The employee involved was the overnight worker who reported me. When I checked in on November 28, 2025, after booking through Booking.com at 11:45 PM and arriving at midnight, she put documents in front of me aggressively and said I was stressing her out. She gave me a room, but was rude and dismissive. I’d also had an earlier check-in with her where she was uncooperative and said the dog fee was non-negotiable, implying her coworkers were “breaking the rules” when they waived it. On November 28, though, she waived the fee herself as a goodwill gesture. She accused me of letting my dog urinate in a restricted area. I told her that hadn’t happened, but she said I was lying. I went back to my room. After that, I only came to the lobby to take my dog out and to check my booking details with day and evening staff. On 12/01/2025, the evening staff told me I’d supposedly had more conversations with the overnight employee. I denied saying there was never any management around, that I’d report her, or that I was constantly confrontational. Those claims were why I couldn’t extend my stay. I asked the front desk to review the security footage, which I believe would disprove them. I had no contact with overnight staff after November 28, 2025, and didn’t go into the lobby at night. I was told only the hotel manager could access or change the relevant information. The manager accepted the employee’s account without contacting me, asking for my side, or investigating before imposing an extended denial of service. As the hotel manager, you should be ashamed of letting guests be treated this way. It’s also disturbing that an overnight employee would criticize coworkers for not “following the rules” when she herself doesn’t follow them, and that staff could lie, manipulate, or make up stories about hotel guests. You never called, spoke to me in person, or emailed to hear my perspective.

It was affordable, and the room was usable, though I ran into a few issues. A loud noise woke my kids and me around 1-2 a.m. I called the office, but they didn’t know what it was and were trying to figure it out. Then kids ran up and down the hall around 4-5 a.m., so I barely slept. The blankets were so thin they felt like sheets. I went to the front desk and got another one. Check the pictures for the other problems I had.

We had a terrible three-day stay. The room phone didn’t work, and a towel I thought was clean turned out to be dirty, apparently left behind after another guest shaved with it. I told the front desk on the first night, but clean towels weren’t brought to the room. I had to go downstairs to get them myself. Kids also knocked on my door twice, thinking it was their room. It was noisy all night, too. From 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. every night, doors kept slamming amid constant comings and goings. The staff seemed miserable and unwilling to help or fix anything. If you want a quiet stay, this isn’t the place. I’d stay somewhere else.

The room was clean, and the friendly front desk staff were a plus. It worked well enough as a place to sleep, but the hotel was noisy and quite a few transient people were hanging around for free breakfast. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We booked the Super 8 at the last minute after the hotel we’d planned on turned out to be gross. It was clean enough that it didn’t feel gross, though not spotless; the beds and main areas were clean, which was what mattered to us. Breakfast was included, but it was just self-serve waffles and cereal, not a full spread. The milk seemed questionable that day, and I thought the waffles were a bit soggy. Still, it was food, and we appreciated it. It isn’t on the beachfront, but it’s within 15 of the beach. Being next to Hwy17 and Market Commons made it easy to pick up what we needed and get to things we wanted to do.
