I had to cover my pillow with one of my shirts because the pillowcase smelled like greasy hair. There was hair and body hair all over the bed, and it didn’t look like the sheets or pillowcase had been changed. I rarely feel grossed out somewhere, but this place did it. I wouldn’t stay again. I’d honestly rather sleep in my car at a gas station.

The staff are always great and helpful, and the gas price is only a little higher than Yakima. It’s a much better deal than Cliffdell. Handy place to stop for gas, food, snacks, or candy. Highly recommend!

We camp around here a lot, so I’ll be driving back to stock up at this store from now on. We didn’t stay at the resort, just popped in for a few things. The selection was much better than at the 76 station at Whistlin' Jack's, and the two women working there were much friendlier. They were both really warm and pleasant.

We stayed in a cabin Friday and Saturday and had a great time. The employees we met were helpful and a pleasure to meet, from check-in and the grocery store to dining and checkout. We had two dinners and a breakfast, and everything went perfectly. The room was clean, recently updated, and comfortable. They also have gas on site. We’ll definitely come back.

We drove over two hours from Puyallup for our reservation, then ended up asking Josh on Hip Camp for a refund. No one had told us we’d need to leave the car by the grocery store and carry our things to the campsite. The check-in instructions said to go inside the grocery store, where a woman, who later said she was the manager, treated us so disrespectfully that my husband refused to go back in. She called him an idiot earlier, when we went to check in. We had no cell service, so we also asked about the Wi-Fi password. When I said I had a reservation, she told me, “Oh yea she put you in spot 4,” then turned to help the next customer. I asked where spot 4 was, and she said it was around the corner. Another man offered to show us. When I asked where we could park, she said there was nowhere to park and that she’d paid hundreds of dollars to replace the sewer, so we couldn’t park on the grass. Neither of us had suggested parking on the grass. We were told Josh was the owner, and owners pay for that sort of work, not managers, so we couldn’t understand why she spoke as if she’d paid for it herself. There weren’t any signs showing where the bathroom was. She said it was on the other side of the wall, but the man who was showing us the campsite had to point it out, and it wasn’t simply on the other side of the wall. It looked like a shipping container. The place felt more like someone’s backyard than a campsite, with kids running barefoot over rocks and dogs off leash, and nobody said anything. When I asked whether I should cancel through the app, she said, “Yes that’s how you’d reach Josh. Why what’s wrong,” as if she suddenly wanted to be nice once we mentioned leaving. I didn’t say that to her. I just walked out and we left. My husband and I have both worked at places where this kind of customer treatment wouldn’t be accepted, and we wouldn’t allow it in a business of our own. I can’t believe this place has such high reviews. We’ll never come back. I’d rather pull over and sleep in the car.
