My husband had surgery and needed to stay in bed, and we live two hours from civilization. They offer room service, but you can’t take breakfast back to your room. I paid for meals I couldn’t use, and couldn’t get a refund. I gave my second morning’s breakfast tickets back so someone else might have a better stay. Basically, $28 for two yogurts. Where is this, Chicago? Manhattan? So disappointing.

The room was clean and the location is fantastic, but the service was horrible. I needed to change the card being charged for my room and was told the system was down. I waited until the next morning, then hung around for 15 minutes while the front desk person sat outside smoking and using her phone. When she finally came in, she said the system was still down and someone could call me. Two days later, no call, and I still don’t know if the system is working. I couldn’t change the card or check out online.

Everyone I dealt with at the hotel was top notch. Ashley was especially competent and helped straighten out a few mix-ups with a third party booking service. Great service!

The rooms are clean and the people are nice. Breakfast, though, felt like prison. You’re not allowed to take any food out of the dining room or you’ll get written up. Why pay for a meal I can’t take with me? Am I supposed to sit there while someone watches me eat every bite? Weird.

I’m a platinum member with ihg. I’ve spent 20k or more and tipped the servers very well over the past three years. The general manager told me that locals living within a 30 mile radius are no longer welcome to stay here.
