The location made it easy to reach the center of town in under 10 minutes on foot, and Jetties Beach was a 20-minute walk away. Carlisle House Inn felt peaceful and convenient, and my mom and I are already talking about coming back after our lovely stay. The rooms were spotless, thoughtfully designed, and really comfortable. Everyone was kind, helpful, and attentive, and the breakfasts each morning were fresh and delicious, served in a relaxed setting. From the moment we arrived, we felt cared for. One of our favorite touches was the complimentary s'mores night, with cozy blankets and a beautifully maintained fire pit out back. It was such a nice way to unwind.

Jeanine, the owner, is genuinely warm and welcoming. We loved the relaxing feel of the B&B, from the calming decor and rooms to the staff. The outdoor area was just right for sitting with a coffee or book. There were sound machines by the bedroom doors, a thoughtful little touch for light sleepers.

Carlisle House is easily our favorite inn on the island. As we head to the ferry home after another lovely Nantucket visit, we're already looking forward to returning. It's clean, cozy, and professionally run by a real person rather than a corporation. The location is quiet but only a brief walk from all the action. Our rooms were beautifully decorated and well appointed, with the best beds and pillows. Breakfasts were perfect, and the fresh afternoon cookies were warm and yummy.

My daughter, granddaughter, and I spent Mother's Day weekend at Carlisle House Inn to visit friends from the Island. It's a beautiful, amazing, convenient place to stay on Nantucket, and the host and staff were so accommodating and helpful. The little extras added to the inn's charm: healthy breakfast food, afternoon cookies, cold fruited water, and candy in the evening. My favorite touch was my granddaughter's bed, made up neat as a pin with all her 'stuffies' on the pillow just like home.

Built in 1765, this historic inn sits on a quiet street, just a short walk from town. The owner and staff are very friendly, and the rooms are modern and clean. I've stayed here many times over the years and never had a problem.
