The free shuttle to the Summer House in Sconset was a nice perk, and we spent one day using the pool there. At 27 Fair street summer house location, the room was clean, well lit, and a good size for the two of us, with a king bed for me and a pullout couch for my daughter. The TV had all the movie channels, and the staff were kind enough to find us two beach chairs. Breakfast was free, with fresh warm blueberry muffins and freshly cut fruit. Town was a four-minute walk away, and the price felt reasonable for the location and services. We did a Father-Daughter weekend a few weeks ago and would stay again and again.
The grounds are lovely for eating outdoors or settling in with a good novel, and the location makes it easy to walk to town. Having the jitney to the beach is a real plus, so there’s no need to rent a car. The rooms feel fresh and clean and have what you need, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Fresh fruit, muffins, and yogurt made a great start to a summer day. I adore this place; it brings back memories of summers at an aunt’s house near the beach.
I used to nanny for these people for months and was massively ripped off. In my view, these are not professionals but more like con artists. I imagine their establishments are run just as poorly as their other businesses. I’d highly recommend that people take their business elsewhere, including from their 21 fair street restaurant and the summer house. Seriously, don’t support their businesses.
I cancelled well beyond the 30-day cutoff, and the policy clearly says I should receive a refund. It’s been 10 days, and I’ve called every day trying to reach someone about it. The number is often out of service or sends me to a call center, where they say someone will get back to me promptly. So far, I’ve had no call or email. I’m extremely disappointed by the poor service and the facility’s disregard for customers. I would never recommend it.
Coronavirus!!!! They closed the bistro Sunday night without warning, then the next day Inky told the public that a business had shut down due to corona. This establishment has coronavirus, and they won’t share the information with the town or notify the public. It’s a hostel still serving people with the same workers. Don’t stay here!
