Archer Hotel Napa

We enjoyed breakfast at Charlie Palmer Steak, where the menu had a great variety, the food was delicious, and the service was attentive. The rooftop bar was memorable too, with a covered space, views of the Napa mountains, and a comfortable temperature. We sat at the bar for excellent food and a creative cocktail, then shared a bottle from the excellent wine list. The bartender was terrific. The guest room was remarkably spacious, with a very comfortable bed, a large bathroom, an unusually large shower, and a very large soaking tub. We also had a balcony with a fireplace. We enjoyed it one evening, then could see the fireplace from bed the next morning as we woke up. We only recently learned about this terrific hotel after staying elsewhere before. We'll definitely stay here again.

The balcony and fireplace were a real treat, and the service was excellent from the start. At check-in, staff offered my partner and me a room upgrade and a complimentary glass of wine. Our room also had a personalized anniversary card and a small charcuterie tray, such a lovely touch. When we asked to leave our bags at checkout while we got breakfast, a staff member kindly came to collect them. Valet parking was tricky at first, though it was a busy, rainy weekend. When we got the car the next day, they acknowledged the arrival issue and kindly comped the overnight rate.

The rooms, food, and wine were all excellent, and the location was excellent too, but the people are what made the stay. Sage and the parking team were personable and fun when they first greeted us. Manny at the front desk helped us check in early, and Jorge was our go-to person for anything we needed. Patricia, the assistant manager, was so friendly. My wife and I even saw her bussing tables at breakfast. Gil and Lisa at the concierge desk became friends, and their knowledge of Napa was incredible. Thank you all so much. The people were beyond words.

We really enjoyed the restaurants and rooftop bar. Dinner and breakfast at Charlie Palmer were both excellent, and we had a great evening at Sky & Vine. Emily was amazing as our bartender, especially during a busy service. The terrace view was lovely, though part of it looked over the roof, so keep that in mind when booking. It's easy to walk everywhere from this spot in the heart of downtown Napa. The hotel feels modern, classic, and chic without going over the top. Our room was spotless and well maintained, and housekeeping did a phenomenal job. We appreciated the robes, slippers, daily local sweet treats, and complimentary bottled water. The staff were friendly and professional, and valet stayed efficient even when busy. It's a bit more expensive, but the amenities, service, and location made it worth every penny.
