Hennessey Estate

The rooms, shared spaces, big kitchen, outdoor seating, and pool all made our large group more comfortable. Service was great, and Raphael helped us at the property. Communication while arranging the reservation was top-notch too. I’ve been coming to Sonoma and Napa for business and pleasure for two decades, and Hennessey Estate is ideally placed downtown. Oxbow Market, the Farmers Market, restaurants, shops, and tasting rooms are all walkable. I highly recommend it and plan to stay again next year.

For our anniversary we wanted a quiet room, and ours looked out over the pool. The rooms are updated, comfortable, and welcoming. Raphael, the hospitality manager, was wonderful and brought anything we asked for, even ice and a shaver. I also soaked in the big tub with bubbles, just what I needed for the celebration. Breakfast was delicious: avocado toast, bacon, a poached egg, yogurt, and berries. Even the Nespresso coffee was good. Downtown was a very short walk, and I’d stay here again.

My husband and I came to Napa for my birthday and stayed overnight at Hennessey Estate. The building is charming and within walking distance of lots of places. We didn’t get to explore much during the day, but we walked to a really nice dinner and back, past the river. We were in a first-floor ADU unit. The room was spacious and well kept, and the whole place had a lovely feel. Even in the rain, it stayed bright and felt especially cozy in the grey weather. The house manager texted parking and check-in details before we arrived, which was helpful, then gave us a quick tour when we got there. If I’m nitpicking, the mattress was softer than I’m used to, and there was no way to close or soften the floor HVAC vent. It was louder than expected. The temperature felt perfect at check-in, but it got very warm in the middle of the night. I’m a light sleeper, and temperature is one of the many things I’m at the mercy of. Most of the little amenities were great, though a few things, including mugs, seemed low in stock. The kitchen ran out of coffee mugs in the morning. I really enjoyed our short visit. The space was lovely, breakfast was light and satisfying, and I could see myself returning. Thanks for making our trip comfortable.

Rafael welcomed us with wine and recommendations, and was a perfect host. Chef Charlie made espresso and breakfast each morning, both phenomenal. We stayed in the carriage house with the rest of our group, and it felt like our own private quarters. The rooms are beautifully furnished, the beds were so comfortable, and the bathroom was upgraded to a T. The hot tub was great after a long day, and downtown bars and restaurants are an easy walk away. Stay here, you won’t regret it!
