The hotel was fully booked, and only two elevators were running for seven floors. One seemed to be out of service, so I used the stairs more often than the elevator that weekend. A couple of evening staff interactions also left us feeling like an inconvenience. At the front desk Saturday night, I wanted to pay cash for something from the cantina rather than charge it to the room, but that seemed to be a major problem, so I paid by card. My friends also said the Friday evening bar server was grumpy, short with us, and unfriendly. It felt like several areas were understaffed, and a full hotel could use more preparation. There were mix-ups with room upgrades and complimentary service, but the morning wait staff were attentive and went out of their way to welcome us. The cleaning crew did a terrific job throughout the rooms, halls, and hotel, and were kind whenever I greeted them. We had a fantastic weekend despite a couple of sour interactions, and would consider coming back next year.

Janet Hristiana and her coworkers kept everyone safe by guiding us to the basement when the tornado sirens sounded. Even with multiple events and tornadoes all around us, they stayed calm, kept smiling, and made sure everyone was served and helped. This hotel team deserves an award.

Construction from the room next door was pretty noisy, so I called the front desk and they dealt with it right away. I believe in treating people the way you want to be treated, and Alicia seems to share that outlook. The service was generous and came with a smile. Thanks for a pleasant stay.

The rooms and bathrooms could use some freshening up, though they weren’t dated enough to ruin the stay. The lobby was comfortable, attractive, and welcoming, and it looks like it was remodeled recently. The restaurant and bar were nice, and there’s a Starbucks in the lobby. The staff were great. I’d definitely recommend this hotel.

Jose' and Janet at the front desk were so helpful and friendly. Even though I was using an award certificate, they found me a room in a great spot, with a lake view and near the stairs to the pool. The pool was just right for kids and adults, with plenty of seating, a few tables, and a handy bathroom nearby. I really enjoyed the stay, and it made for an ideal weekend getaway.
