Courtyard by Marriott Fort Worth Downtown/Blackstone

Staying here is always so convenient, right in the middle of downtown Fort Worth. This time there was lovely music and line dancing at the square, just two streets from the hotel. It was pretty nice!

Benny at the front desk was the bright spot. He apologized sincerely, offered a complimentary drink from the bar, and brought fresh towels and coffee pods to our room himself that night. The location and historic character are still great, but the poor communication and lack of follow-through with housekeeping really affected our stay. Better consistency would help this hotel live up to its potential. We came back to the Courtyard by Marriott Blackstone for a second visit because we love the location, the historic charm, and the fact that famous guests like Elvis Presley and Bob Hope once stayed there. This time, though, we were very disappointed. At check-in, we were told housekeeping came every other day. For a three-night stay, that didn't seem like a problem until we realized there was only enough coffee for one day. On the second evening, I asked the desk for more. The clerk said they'd send some up within ten minutes, but I waited more than an hour and nothing came. The next day, I left our used towels on the floor for housekeeping. When we got back at 8:30 PM, the room hadn't been cleaned, there were no fresh towels or coffee, and nothing had been tidied. Without service for three days, we also ran out of toilet paper. If regular housekeeping isn't available, there should at least be enough towels, coffee, and toilet paper for the whole stay. We were traveling with three other couples who had also been told their rooms would be serviced on the second day. Only one of the four rooms actually got housekeeping.

The rooms have always been clean when I've stayed here, and the staff are friendly. I've visited multiple times and highly recommend it. Getting in and out is easy, and the hotel has an awesome location. I'd suggest booking a terrace for the view over the city. The deli attached to the hotel is quite convenient too. Cheers.

You can walk to everything in Fort Worth from here, and the staff are the best part. Everyone, from the parking crew to the check-in team, seems to care about guests and wants them to enjoy the hotel. If good service matters to you, stay at the Blackstone.
