Hampton Inn - Naples - I-75

The elevators were out of order, equipment in the gym was broken, and the coffee was terrible. Checking in and out online was the one easy part.

The room and bed were comfortable, but the TV was hard to use and not user-friendly. The hotel could be much better, and it’s a shame to have so many complaints because it has potential. There didn’t seem to be enough housekeeping staff. Both tile and carpeted floors were almost always dirty. Trash on the fourth floor overflowed into and around the bins for over 24 hours, and the elevator had the same dirt on it for more than 20 days. We stayed that long while buying a house. The ice machine on the third floor had dirty doorways and was never cleaned during our stay. Outside the entrance, cigarette butts from different brands littered the parking lot for many days, as if somebody had emptied an ashtray there. Pete was super friendly and helpful. We only used room housekeeping twice for a refresh, and Jakinda, I think that was her name, was always smiling, friendly, and eager to bring fresh towels and help with requests. Breakfast was absolutely terrible when Tiffany was in the kitchen. The eggs and bacon were always overdone, and nothing changed after I complained and showed Pete the eggs. He said he’d spoken with her, but things may even have gotten worse afterward. Compared with the male worker, whose name I didn’t get, she put out fewer bread items. The oatmeal was like wallpaper paste, and the only two fruits offered were overripe bananas and red delicious apples. The coffee was so awful I bought Lipton tea bags to have with breakfast. More help with cleaning and better kitchen staff would make this a much nicer place.

Most things were perfect, but the lobby TV was showing Fox News. That cost them two stars. They can do better.

Breakfast was wonderful, and the hotel is super clean. I love staying here. Michael and Jessica are always friendly and considerate, and the staff are helpful and courteous.
