The stay at LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort was one of the best resort visits we’ve had. Ken Minke made a real difference, with attentive, professional service and genuine care that made us feel welcome throughout. The accommodations were amazing, the beach was gorgeous, and the property was beautiful, with immaculate grounds and beachfront views. It all made for a relaxing luxury feel in Naples. We can’t wait to return, and I highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Naples.

The rooms were well cared for and had no odor at all, which is rare right by the water. We also loved the sunset views and the resort itself is beautiful. Service was wonderful from the beach and pool to housekeeping. The young team was cheerful and nearby when we needed something, without hovering. The young men looking after the beach, chairs, and umbrellas kept everything neat and in great shape. Special thanks to housekeeping, especially Kim Hawxhurst, for finding the serums and other things I’d left in the nightstand. They’d already bagged and set everything aside before I noticed. Kim stayed in touch while tracking the items down and shipping them back. Getting my favorite sleep mask back home was a lovely extra touch to an already wonderful stay.

The view was amazing, and the property is in a great location. We loved the pools and hot tub, too. The room itself was pretty average, nothing fancy. I almost took off another star because staff entered while there was a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the door to leave a complimentary bottle of champagne. Thankfully, we weren’t in the room.

We only ate dinner at Baleen, so I can’t rate the resort itself. The food, service, and scenery were top notch. It was a blustery evening, but my wife and I kept our outdoor table for the view. We had the Chef's Signature Special Blackened Gulf Grouper, and our son ordered the Pan Roasted Diver Scallops. Everything was delicious, and our server Chris did a great job looking after us. I took off one star because the cocktail sauce with our Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail had somehow solidified. I also sent back a drink, which Chris took care of, and it was fine after that. We’ll definitely return because it’s so nice there.

We felt comfortable, welcomed, and well cared for the whole time at La Playa Beach & Golf Resort. We’re grateful for the hospitality and everything we got to share and experience there. It was a stay we truly enjoyed and appreciated. Thank you for making it so lovely. We hope to be back very soon.
