Microtel by Wyndham Vernal / Naples

We arrived a little late, but Elizabeth and Becca were super friendly and courteous. The place was easy to find, the staff were welcoming, and our room was nice and clean. The bathroom was ADA style for anyone who needs that.

Update: they’ve got hot breakfast now. We had eggs and sausage today! The front desk handled a noisy situation well while we were there. Kids at a birthday party were running up and down the hall and knocking on guests’ doors, including ours. The staff got in touch with their parents, and it stopped. We didn’t have any more trouble after that. The room had a full-sized bed, TV, working heater, and shampoo, conditioner, and body soap in the shower. Shower pressure was just right. Staff were nice, and the basic breakfast was good enough to get us on our way, though there wasn’t hot food at the time. We’re likely to book here again when we return to the area. There’s an indoor pool and hot tub, both working and in use as of 11/30/25, plus a small workout room with the basics.

About 10 years ago, we were traveling between Utah and Texas and stopped in Vernal because my mother had awful altitude sickness after driving through Aspen. We were all exhausted by then. The room was very disability friendly, which impressed me, and we could bring our service dogs, which was a relief. It was one of the cheaper rooms we stayed in at the time, but also had one of the most comfortable mattresses. I still think about it and wish I knew what kind it was. Definitely better than the overpriced lump of rocks I slept on in Denver. Ouch.

This is our usual place when we’re in the area. It’s quiet, everything is super clean, and the staff are very friendly. The updated rooms are laid out nicely, with a desk, bench seat, fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. There’s a nice pool and hot tub too. Breakfast has pancakes, waffles, cereal, bread, yogurt, and fruit. Great value.
