The room itself was decent, but the train whistle kept waking me all night. If that kind of noise bothers you, bring earplugs and ask for a room at the back, as far from the tracks as they can put you. There were barely any guests when I checked in, yet the man at the desk seemed put out by my request. He was creepy and showed no customer service at all. The breakfast listing promises pancakes, but they don't serve them on weekdays. Worse, I found little bugs across the coffee counter and in the bread room, including inside a bread wrapper. When I mentioned it, the woman on duty was blasé, didn't apologize, sprayed vinegar around, and said she'd call the manager about an exterminator. Definitely not staying here again. I'd go to the Country Inn down the road instead. It costs a little more, but there were plenty of cars there.

The beds were a big deal for us. We travel a lot for work, and my husband usually wakes up with a stiff back, but both of us slept comfortably on the bed and the full, fluffy pillows here. They didn't go flat as soon as we lay down. The room was clean and cute, with an old-time country feel, and the staff were so kind when we arrived late. We'd grown up in a small Amish town, though I live in the city now, and were on our way to Lake Michigan and a Notre Dame game. The inn was quiet but still close to everything we wanted to see. Breakfast was wonderful too: my husband had egg casserole and toast, I had pancakes and bacon, and we both tried a little of the sausage gravy. We'll be back!

The room wasn't as advertised: it had carpet instead of laminate, with ant traps on the floor and burnt iron marks in the carpet. The bed was extremely firm, and the bedding was just a thin blanket between two sheets. The bathroom was decent, but TV reception was poor. The front desk clerk wore a T-shirt with profanity on it. Breakfast was a joke, with two cereal containers, two loaves of bread, a few oatmeal packets, and milk. There was no juice or fruit, and the food being out of its original packaging made it impractical for someone with allergies. We only stayed one of our two planned nights. We arrived late and had no other local option that night, but made other arrangements for the second. It was overpriced.

The area felt very safe, the people were nice, and the inn was quiet, apart from the train horn 2-3 times during the night. It's in Amish country. The room had a microwave, a small refrigerator, and an iron and board. No roaches or bed bugs. Breakfast is just cereal (Cheerios), milk, and bread, so it's all carbs. The TV works, but there's no Smart TV for streaming subscriptions. There's a nice grocery store in town and a McDonalds down the road.

The staff were kind and helpful, and the bed was comfortable. It was a cozy, very clean stay, with great water pressure in the shower. Peaceful too, and I'd recommend it.
