Best Western U. S. Inn

We showed up without a reservation for one night, and I’d give this place five stars. The rate was very good for this kind of hotel, and they serve a nice hot breakfast. The room and the hotel were clean, the staff helped whenever we needed something, and I was welcomed with a smile. What more do you need while traveling?

We arrived late after hours of driving through the worst weather, exhausted and not fussy about where we stopped. Since it was right off the highway, we gave it a try. The place was incredibly clean, breakfast had a great selection, and the staff were lovely. Everyone I passed smiled and greeted me, and the team was cleaning everything while we checked out. It’s one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in, and I’d absolutely come back if I need to.

After reading so many alarming reviews for other nearby hotels, we picked this one at a reasonable price for a single night. I arrived much earlier than planned after more than five hours on the road, and they let us check in very early, which I really appreciated. The man at the desk was warm and welcoming. I’m particular about bathrooms, beds, and carpets, and all three were very clean. Breakfast included waffles, scrambled eggs, and bacon, a much better spread than at some places. I felt so relieved and grateful for this stay, and plan to return.

I wouldn’t stay here again. The hallways were dark and creepy, and the carpet looked original, as though the building dated from the 1970s. The rooms were nicer than the corridors, and my second room was clean and pleasant, but the first smelled like pee. The man at the desk was very rude when I asked to switch rooms. This motel didn’t feel like a Best Western at all. I used points for the stay, and would have been very upset if I’d paid cash.
