Candlewood Suites Nashville South by IHG

I was getting pretty stressed trying to find somewhere safe in Nashville after reading alarming reviews about vandalism, safety problems, and bed bugs at other hotels. Picking Candlewood Suites turned out to be the best decision we could’ve made. We stayed on the first floor near the train station and, surprisingly, never heard the train. They also have useful noise-related items available, which was thoughtful. The front desk team were welcoming and kind, and the security made us feel safe. The outside doors need a room key card to open, and there was always someone at the desk. Walgreens and a gas station are right next door, with plenty of other places within walking distance. Everything was clean, quiet, and comfortable. It was one of our best hotel stays.

The parking lot was well lit, and I saw the security officer checking it overnight. You can hear the trains, but the fan unit’s white noise covered most of it. I chose this place for the location near I-65 and Harding Place, the reasonable price, the kitchenette, and especially because dogs are allowed. The room was spacious and clean, and the front desk staff were courteous and professional. There’s free coffee in the lobby 24 hours a day. I’d stay again.

The shower was fantastic, with really hot water and great pressure. Our room was spacious and had a lot to offer, though we only needed the shower and beds. We were there for two nights, and the location near our job site was clutch. It could use a deep clean, but I’d still stay here again.

We stayed here for shelter after an ice storm, and the frozen parking lot was a problem. Maintenance said they had only a limited amount of deicer, so IHG should make sure they have enough to keep the lot safe. Otherwise, we were warm and comfortable, and the staff were kind. The place was clean, too.
