Residence Inn Nashville Metro Center

It's a beautiful property and a really nice hotel, but please don't leave anything behind. I left my necklace on the nightstand, tucked under the white writing pad. I know it was my fault to leave it, but that doesn't mean someone should have taken it. Nobody called me about it, and it was never found. Housekeeping steals. It's gross.

I'd watched the Residence Inn go up over the past year or so from a different hotel across the street, and was eager to try it. Check-in was great, everything was clean, breakfast was good, and the bed was comfortable. The main disappointment was how much noise came through the ceiling. The guy upstairs walked around and talked on his phone a lot, which I didn't expect to hear in a brand-new hotel with 9-foot ceilings. I'll probably stay again, since it may have been a quirk of my room or an especially loud person upstairs.

The location was nice, everything was clean, and I had a comfortable bed and a kitchen that was just right. The staff were friendly, apart from one woman who was a little cold and unfriendly. The maintenance men also came into the rooms to fix the phones, which took about 30 minutes. Even with those inconveniences, the other positives made up for them. I had a lovely five-night stay last month and would highly recommend it.

We were displaced by the ice storm and needed somewhere to stay. The staff were kind and friendly, and our room was clean and spacious. The location was perfect. We're very grateful for such a high-quality stay during a stressful time.
