We travel a lot and usually choose VRBO or Airbnb-style rentals in different places because we like having a washer and dryer in the unit. Avant Stay has been one of the best companies we’ve rented from. They kept in touch throughout, let us check out at 11 without an extra fee when we needed to, and had a much shorter checkout task list than most places. We’ll keep trying to book with them.

The free parking and nice location were definite pluses. The room had no lamp on one side of the bed, no shower soap, and a toilet lid without a cover. The hallway was icy cold, and the sliding doors had such big gaps that there wasn’t much privacy. Maintenance could’ve been better.

I was left outside the building at 9 pm with no way in, despite trying to reach them by email and phone in the days before my reservation. The check-in was one of the worst I can imagine. Don’t book them through bookings.com. AvantStay uses the service, but it seems there’s no integration with their own systems. Completely unacceptable.

Really LIT stay. Broadway was only a $5 Uber or Lyft ride away, and there’s good pizza across the street for all the pizza lovers. I’d buy a unit in the building.
