Courtyard by Marriott Nashville Airport

I called the front desk after midnight about a dog barking, but it continued all night. They wouldn’t let me speak to a manager and said they couldn’t comp the night because I’d prepaid. Figuring out the inconvenience shouldn’t be my problem. If they’d resolved it, I wouldn’t have posted. I hoped to leave good feedback, and I’ll remove this if the GM or corporate contacts me. I plan to dispute the charge because they failed to provide basic service. Now I’m setting out on a nine-hour drive after only three hours of sleep, which isn’t safe, and it’s costing me more time and money, including cancelled appointments.

The front desk person was very nice, and check-in was quick. We were heading back to Iowa from a trip to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and had booked the hotel on Tuesday while waiting for our flight home. We were tired and near the end of our vacation, so when we reached our rooms and found they were much smaller than we’d been told, we just stayed. We were supposed to have a suite, not standard rooms. We also hadn’t known parking wasn’t included, and I couldn’t find that disclosed on the website even when I looked again. There’s Starbucks coffee available 24/7, but it wasn’t good. My stepmom paid almost $7 for a hot mocha that came cold. She went back down, but nobody was there, so she dumped it rather than drink it. If they offer that kind of service, the staff should know how to make it and serve the product properly. Our thermostat was another issue. Set to 72, the air kept switching on by itself; at 78, the room got far too hot. My mom and stepdad also noticed people arriving very late, laughing, playing music, and slamming doors around 1 a.m. I’d recommend checking all the details before booking. We’d stay again if we could confirm the right room and that they’d sort out the coffee.

After a year of tiring business travel, I’m surprised to say I’d like to stay here again. I usually have a thing against Marriott Courtyards because the last several I tried were dated and had paper-thin walls between rooms, costing me sleep. I took this one because of the rates and availability, expecting the same, but it was clean, well kept, and really quiet despite not being brand new. They had quiet-hours signs posted, and it seemed my fellow business travelers followed them. After four other beds on this trip, I especially appreciated the comfortable mattress and pillows. The front desk guy who checked me in was friendly and understood my request for a quiet room. Great attention to the guest.

We were here for a company Christmas party, and the staff were so friendly. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms were nice, and the bed was amazing.
