The rooms were clean and nice, but staying here felt like an intellectual challenge. Check-in involved pages of instructions, parking was difficult, and I had to keep track of three or four different codes for the lobby, garage, and room. There was no garage remote in my room, so I had to call customer service to get a new entrance code. The WiFi didn’t work either. If you want lodging that’s easy to use, this isn’t the place. If you like a puzzle and keeping customer support on speed dial, you might enjoy it.
The biggest issue was the deposit dispute. We had to pay a separate deposit outside VRBO, which felt questionable. After the stay, the host kept it, claiming we hadn’t declared a pet. Our reservation documents clearly showed the pet was included, but the host said it wasn’t on their end and treated it like our fault. They made no move to refund it after learning of their error. Days passed without communication. Only after I said I would dispute the charge with my credit card company did they return the deposit. Check-in was also badly handled. We didn’t get the address, room number, or lock code until well after the stated 4 PM check-in, leaving us waiting without access or a way to plan our arrival. We had to call the hosts ourselves to get the details. We were also told a garage door opener would be provided, something we were effectively paying for, but it wasn’t there when we arrived, and no one warned us. That made coming and going harder than it needed to be. The poor communication, missing amenity, and deposit trouble made this a very frustrating stay. I’d strongly caution others before booking.
I found this place the night before a last-minute visit to see my daughter at Belmont, and was surprised to get somewhere within walking distance of campus. The host was informative and very accommodating, always quick to answer our questions. It was a super cute little apartment and cost less than a hotel would have.
Cozy Suites is in a great location and feels very safe. I’m staying there while my son is at Vanderbilt Medical Center, and the staff have been accommodating and worked with us to keep the same room since we don’t know how long we’ll be here. It’s very clean and comfortable. We’ll be back next week, and I highly recommend Cozy Suites.
I like the neighborhood and location, and this is my third stay at Cozy Suites Nashville. My earlier visits were uneventful, though having to remember three codes to reach the room is a hassle, especially after dark with luggage. This time the room and bathroom were clean, but the microwave was filthy and I had to clean it myself. Someone had left several undergarments in the dryer, which I threw away. It didn’t feel like housekeeping was doing more than a surface clean. My door code worked all day and then stopped, so I had to call customer service. I also had a parking pass but no garage fob in the room, so I’m parking on the street until I can get one. Finding laundry in the dryer was the best part, since I need to wash clothes while a family member is in the hospital. The customer service reps have been kind, but I’m dealing with a stressful situation and wish everything were more streamlined.
