The rooms were okay for the situation, and at least you’ll be warm, but the desk clerks were rude and dismissive. There isn’t enough hot water capacity, so don’t expect hot water for a shower. Their advertised “breakfast” is oatmeal pies and honey buns. With the higher room prices, you’d think they’d offer cereal, milk, orange juice, muffins, waffles, or oatmeal. They don’t. The drinks in the vending machine are expired too. They’re collecting money for below-mediocre service and price gouging people during the snow storm. If you can find a better option, take it. If this is all you can manage, I understand. To everyone affected by the storm, stay safe and watch out for people trying to profit from our hardship.
The rooms were fine, with a roomy king bed, soft pillows, and cable TV, which was nice to see again. Just watch for the entrance by the Waffle House. Turning around after missing it can be a bit of a doozy. Donald is what made the stay great. Thanks for working with us to sort things out. He knows their system inside and out, but his people skills are just as good. He feels like a hidden Nashville gem.
Raj at the front desk gets five stars. The staff were polite and helpful as much as they could be. Everything else would get less than one if that were an option. I’ve stayed in plenty of grim hotels, including many Days Inn by Wyndham locations across the US and Canada, but this one was beyond disgusting. The pillows seemed 12 years old, there was hot water only on the first day, the floors were sticky, the shower had pubic hair, and the bathroom was covered in black mold. A rat greeted me every morning by the vending machine, and it was about the size of most cats. The “Opryland” label is misleading. It’s closer to Kentucky than the Opry, and not much closer to downtown. Neither my wife nor I felt okay leaving the room in the dark, and we dreaded coming back. Unless you want to stay in Nashville far from everything except a McDonald’s and an Arby’s, find somewhere else.
Being right off the highway was convenient, but the room was horrendous and nowhere near worth $150. The bathroom door was broken and wouldn’t shut, there were stains on the walls and hair in the shower, and everything looked dated and disgusting. There was trash all over the property. Worst Days Inn I’ve stayed in.
After our vehicle broke down, we were lucky to find this pet-friendly place. The room has a nice TV, a roomy fridge-freezer, and a microwave. The man who checked me in in the early evening was wonderful. While I waited for my husband and dogs to arrive, he even lent me a wall plug so I could charge my phone.
