I was looking around the Nashville area for a hotel and found Harthall Hotel. Talking with Lala on the phone right away impressed me. She was patient, polite, and so helpful that everything felt seamless. Her customer service really stood out, and she represents the hotel exceptionally well. I highly recommend booking here, five stars!

The front desk staff and manager were kind, friendly, understanding, and helpful, and they moved me to a bigger room when I complained. They called it an upgrade, and it had a washer and dryer I didn’t need. The bed still had stains, though, and so did the kitchenette counters. I contacted Hotwire and got a refund. I’m glad the staff tried to help, but the inside of this place was a real disappointment. I was traveling alone and had booked through Hotwire, which assigned the hotel randomly. I stayed in December before Christmas and couldn’t believe it was rated four stars. The outside had been remodeled and looked nice, but inside it felt creepy and scary. You need a code for both your room and your floor, and the hallways gave me a “The Shining” vibe. My first room was tiny, with stains on the bed and floor. The carpet under the bed was torn and full of holes, and the “wall bed” creaked when I sat down. The rooms have concrete floors, so mine was really cold. This is not a four star hotel.
We’re very grateful for this place and the people working there. An unprecedented winter storm knocked out power across much of Nashville, so we ended up here unexpectedly while waiting for our own power to come back. We’ve been here for an extended stay, and the reasonable price felt especially fair in the circumstances. The suite layout helped a lot. Having a kitchen and a separate living area made a stressful week manageable, and there was plenty of room for our dogs. The hotel is pet-friendly and comfortable. The gym is surprisingly nice, and getting a few workouts in gave me a bit of normalcy. The parking setup seemed odd at first, but it hasn’t caused us any trouble. I especially want to recognize Lala at the front desk. She’s been stuck at the hotel since Friday because of the weather, and it’s now Tuesday. She has dealt with hundreds of guests patiently, kindly, and efficiently, going out of her way to help. You can tell she cares, and that made a hard situation easier for many people. I’d strongly recommend staying here, whether you’re in an emergency like we were or visiting Nashville normally, ideally without everything under a thick layer of ice.
We liked being about 1.5 miles from downtown, far enough to get a break from the bustle and relax, but still within walking distance of a quiet brewery, a small bar, and a good pizza place/restaurant/bar. The area felt safe. Our room was clean and a great size, with a full kitchen, separate bedroom, and balcony. Staff were nice and helpful. You can park free on the street or pay to park on site. The photo is the view from our balcony.
Harthall Hotel made my Nashville trip memorable, and I’d be glad to return. It’s close to lively downtown but tucked away enough to feel peaceful. The room was spotless, stylish, and comfortable, with Southern touches, and the bed made for a great night’s sleep after exploring the city. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for good service, attractive rooms, and a friendly atmosphere.
