Somatel Nashville Airport Hotel

Construction started at 7 AM the next morning, right beside my wall, with unbearable grinding and drilling. When I complained, the staff member was extremely rude, telling me, “Don’t talk to me, talk to the manager.” When I asked for the manager’s number, he said, “I don’t know.” The room phone didn’t work, either, so I couldn’t call reception directly. I barely slept, with homeless people wandering, arguing, and sometimes fighting right outside my door. My non-smoking room reeked of tobacco at check-in. They moved me to the ground floor, but that room smelled the same, and since it was very late, I had no choice but to stay. This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had: unclean, unsafe, noisy, and with unprofessional staff. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend it or stay again.

The room was nice and comfortable, and I’d stay here again if I’m in the area. The parking lot was pretty small and hard to maneuver in. The toilet was loose on the floor and shifted when I moved my weight. The in-room microwave didn’t work when I arrived, but the gentleman at the desk brought me another after I called so I could heat the food I’d bought. I paid about $150 for 2 nights on booking.com, so I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for an affordable stay.

After checking in and paying, I found the room dirty and reeking of smoke. It wasn’t what I expected, so I didn’t want to stay and changed my plans. I asked reception for a refund, but they didn’t return what I had paid. The receptionist said they would call and reimburse part of the payment. They NEVER called and NEVER returned any of MY MONEY. SCAMMERS.

Roaches filled the room, and we ended up putting our luggage on the beds, so we couldn’t sleep. It smelled of urine, and there was criminal activity in the parking lot. The fridge had mold and couldn’t be used, and there were holes in the walls. We had a small baby and couldn’t let them play on the floor.
