Sonesta Select Nashville Airport Suites

The breakfast spread was a real highlight for $21.00. On weekdays it starts at 6:30am and runs until 1-am, with longer hours on the weekend. There were waffles, bacon, both turkey and pork sausages, an omelette station, and plenty more. The rooms and beds were comfortable and clean, and it was quiet. Staff were friendly, too. The airport shuttle comes every 30 minutes, though check when it stops running since it isn't available around the clock. I'd happily try this place again if I was nearby, and would love to hear what others think.

I booked a room because the power outage in my area left us needing somewhere warm with a hot shower. My daughter wanted one as soon as we arrived, but there was no hot water. The desk said they needed to reset buttons on the boiler and asked us to wait 15 minutes. The TV had no signal either. After I called and nobody came up, I went to the desk myself. An employee came back with me but couldn't fix it, so maintenance had to come. The maintenance woman got the TV working, but the shower water never got hot, and we had to wash up instead. At 5am, loud water rushing through the pipes woke me. Then I heard dripping and found water coming through the ceiling in several spots. The carpet was soaked, with leaks over the bathroom sink, in the kitchen, and in streams behind the outlet the TV was plugged into. I called the front desk and said I was checking out as soon as I got dressed. The man asked when, and when I told him, he laughed and said he was glad because he wouldn't have to find us another room, since they had none available. At checkout, the same rude man was worse in person and said I acted like he owned the hotel. An already bad stay turned into a nightmare.

The people working here are what made the place feel like home. Everyone at the desk, the van drivers, and the cleaners both morning and night acknowledged guests and seemed genuinely glad to help. Joe drove me to the airport at 4am and was so friendly and easy to talk to, like it was the middle of the day. I'm grateful to the whole team for being so good at what they do. The hotel is close to the airport and has a van. The room was fine, and I appreciated having a microwave, since lots of hotels don't provide one anymore.

The airport location and shuttle were a plus, but I wouldn't recommend the hotel. Breakfast was just okay, and the toilet bowl was nasty. Most of the staff came across as unfriendly, unwelcoming, and dry. Angel and Joe were the only two who were nice. Great job, guys, keep it up!
