We'd been in two rooms, and both were filthy. The blankets had spots and burn holes, the sheets were stained, the lighting was dim, and the rooms smelled stale and old. The air conditioner barely worked in the summer. Outside, kids ran around the parking lot, and drug addicts and hookers were loud at all hours of the night. The place looked okay from outside, but I was exhausted from traveling and had nowhere to stay. I was almost micro-sleeping, and we arrived before noon, when many hotels couldn't check us in, so we stayed anyway. Around 3 a.m. on our last night, my boyfriend complained of itching. I had a few bites and thought they were mosquitoes since it was midsummer. Then he inspected the bed and found bed bugs. I freaked out, packed our bags, and went to the front desk. The man working came with a flashlight, looked at the bed, and saw them too. He told us to come back when the manager arrived to get a refund. When we returned, she asked us to show her the bugs, even though they could have been cleaned up while we were gone. She refused a refund, said we were lying to get one, then claimed we'd brought the bugs ourselves because we hadn't shown her. That's absurd. I'd never seen a bed bug before. She was so rude. I left without a refund because I have a temper, and called the health department. The whole place was depressing, like the Cortez in American horror story. I'd rather have slept in the truck.

The second room was somehow even worse for roaches. In the first, there was what looked like blood in the tub and hair clumps stuck to the walls. The place was crawling with roaches, and it wasn't even cheap. We paid about what we would at Laquita or Quality Inn, and I won't come back. After reading other reviews, I'm relieved we didn't have our four-month-old daughter with us. Now I have to seal our suitcase and everything else in garbage bags before bringing it home, so we don't bring an infestation back with us. I don't even feel okay taking a shower. When we reported it, the woman at the desk said she'd come look, but sent a maid who didn't speak English and seemed to be rushing to clean up the evidence. My husband took the trash can from her and put the hair back so we could show the desk clerk. She was rude and pushy. I don't think this place can be helped. There were junkies and drugs everywhere.

The noise was awful: the person next door played music loud enough to shake our walls and sat outside our door. The first room smelled horrible and had a disgusting mattress with what looked like bugs on it. They moved us a few doors down, and that room was only a little better. On top of all that, I was quoted an exact price including tax over the phone, then faced a huge extra charge when I arrived. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. If you have another choice, don't waste your money here.

I needed somewhere to stay for a few nights while I waited for my apartment to be ready. The rate was right, but the room was a mess: cigarette burns in the sheets and comforter, bugs in the shower, and an awful smell that Lysol couldn't get rid of. I tried telling them how nasty the place was, but they didn't want to hear it and acted like I was making it up. I told them I'd post this, and here I am. I wouldn't recommend it to the devil.

I checked in, opened the door, and found an uncleaned room with bottles everywhere and an unmade, filthy bed. They gave me a different room, but within five minutes I found roaches and other insects there too. The front desk said the hotel was under renovation, with torn-up carpets outside and some rooms closed. I asked for a refund because I felt disgusted and uncomfortable. They agreed and admitted the renovation was due to an infestation of roaches and insects. Disgusting and unhealthy. Never again.
