I stayed in the dairy barn and was disappointed by how run down the room felt for the price. The furniture was worn, the carpet was in very bad shape, the shower curtain had mold, and the wooden blinds looked like they were installed upside down and wouldn’t close all the way. The locks were also hard to open and shut. There was no ice or bottled water in the building, and the room phone didn’t work, so I couldn’t reach the front desk. To her credit, the clerk noticed me trying and called my cell. She said I could get water and ice at the office, but it was 9 pm, I was already in bed, and the walk from my room to the front of the property was quite far. I went without water. The room was conveniently next to the restaurant, but I wasn’t going over in my pajamas for a drink. I stayed at Dunleith 22 years ago for a wonderful honeymoon, so this visit was a real disappointment.

The gardens felt like something from a dream, and we had a wonderful time at the pool. We stayed at this incredible estate for my birthday, and it felt like going back in time. The canopy bed was comfortable, and I loved the jetted tub. I can only imagine how much work it takes to keep a place like this in shape.

A really authentic historic room, and one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. There are two outdoor cats too, both healthy and well cared for, which is a plus if you’re a cat fan. Definitely recommend it. You won’t be disappointed.

We were excited for our Valentine’s Day stay, but the room had several problems. We booked a two-story courtyard king room. The TV didn’t work, so we called Brittany at the front desk. She was sweet and patient, gave me the GM’s number, but I never heard back from him. We can’t sleep without TV noise, so this really mattered. After about four calls, Brittany got maintenance to bring a replacement. We went to dinner and found it there when we returned, but had to set it up ourselves, which took more than half an hour. He just plugged it in and left. Upstairs, the bathroom ceiling had extreme mold creeping down the door. I’ve added photos. There was only one towel, and the upstairs floors were really dirty, as if that part had been missed. We killed a hand-sized spider on the stairs, then came back to find a stink bug camped out in my toothbrush. We barely slept. We love Natchez, but won’t stay here again. At $200 a night, it wasn’t worth it. The lady gave me a $50 credit for the mold, but I should have gotten a full refund.
