Motel 6 Natchitoches, LA

I didn't get to see the room at all. When I called yesterday morning to ask about roaches and bed bugs, the man at the desk yelled at me and was rude. He told me, and I quote, "if that is how you feel about it, you should cancel." He called the reports false, then said they couldn't control what was in the street, that bugs just come in, and that they spray every day. I was shocked and canceled my three-night, four-day stay. I won't return to Motel 6. That was just bad business.

It's affordable, but I won't stay there again. We couldn't get clean towels in the evening after missing housekeeping, and on more than one occasion an employee walked into our room around 9 a.m. to ask if we were staying another night, even though checkout wasn't until 11. Also, if you book through an app, they may say they never got paid and make you pay again, leaving you to dispute it with the app.

The room itself was comfortable and clean, with no frills. The night was another matter. Around 2 a.m., men gathered outside my door, yelling and arguing. They went away, then came back several times, and in the morning there were empty beer cans outside my room. When I asked management about it, he said a group of Hispanic individuals had the room above me, called them immature, and said he couldn't do anything about their behavior. If you need somewhere quiet or feel safe, you may want to look elsewhere.

The room was damp, the beds felt soggy, and there was hair left behind by the previous guest. There was active mold in the bathroom, and the staff were very rude. I wouldn't recommend it.
