Quality Inn Natchitoches

We had booked two rooms ahead for my daughter's graduation and drove three hours to get there. The green, uncleaned pool was the first disappointment. My other daughter said the A/C in her room was very loud. In mine, the bathroom ceiling looked ready to cave in, there was something brown on the wall, and a hole by the A/C plug. The top cover was pulled back, and the sheets underneath were badly stained and looked unchanged. I went to the desk and was given two sets of sheets. I wasn't asking for a discount, but the only offer was one on a future stay. In the morning, the sink had no hot water. I often stay in the area because my youngest daughter goes to school and lives here. The place we usually use has raised its prices over the past few years, and these two rooms cost what I pay there. We were unhappy with the stay and how it was handled. I tried to find another hotel, but graduation weekend meant nothing was available. See the pictures.

I've stayed here three times and would come back when I'm in the area. The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I usually prefer indoor entrances, but I felt safe here. It's a clean, well-run hotel.

We could actually take a proper shower here, and the room was clean with nothing broken. This QI is very nice. Last Saturday we stayed at the Abilene QI, where the shower bracket was broken, and the rooms had never been remodeled in that 30-year-old facility.

The ladies at the front desk were kind and helpful, but the room smelled bad, breakfast was junk and among the worst I've had, and the pool was an algae puddle. Google Maps calls it a "3 star" hotel, which gave us the wrong expectations. It isn't a 3-star stay. Still, it'll do if all you need is a bed.
