Laurie made this one of the best B&B stays we've had. She looked after everything, even inviting us to a local social, and the people in Nauvoo were warm and welcoming. The cottage cake pancakes and breakfast were wonderful, especially Grandma's buttermilk syrup. I told Laurie she should sell it to guests because I couldn't stop eating it. Each night there were treats from nearby places like Fudge Factory and Baxter's vineyards across the street. The B&B is tucked away from busy traffic but only minutes from the Nauvoo Temple and historic sites. I only wish I'd caught a photo of the sunrise with deer in the field. We'd definitely stay again if we're back in the area.

The Nauvoo Grand made our trip to Nauvoo even more special. Its Victorian furnishings were beautiful and impressive, and the accessories took care of all our needs. Laurie, the Inn Keeper, made us feel comfortable and, after only a few days, like we'd made a new friend. We'd certainly plan to stay at the Nauvoo Grand again if we return.

Laurie was so friendly, and her breakfasts were fantastic. The house is beautiful, furnished in an early 1900s style, and having a private bathroom was very convenient. Getting to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints historical sites in Nauvoo was easy.

The Nauvoo Grand was our favorite part of the visit. It felt like staying at a friend's elegant, immaculate home, with each room decorated beautifully and comfortably. There were big cozy chairs, fluffy pillows, and good air conditioning. The shared spaces had books, puzzles, videos, and tasty snacks. Laurie's breakfasts were amazing, and she knew so much about the area. I really wish we'd had more time there and hope to come back.

Staying in a historic hotel was an experience unlike anything else, and Laurie made it memorable. She prepares breakfast herself, and everyone sits together to eat and talk. When I checked out, I told her that's what sets the Nauvoo hotel apart from other hotels: she makes breakfast with love.
