Budget Inn of Needles

The location is handy, right between the freeway off and on ramps, and it was quiet and clean. I felt fine leaving my belongings in the vehicle, which isn't always the case at cheaper motels. Check-in was quick and easy, and the gentleman at the desk promptly refunded the extra $10 after they charged us $77 instead of the $67 listed online. The AC worked great, which you really need in triple-digit heat. The non-smoking room did reek of smoke, though, as is often the case at places like this.

Parking worked well for us since we were towing a car trailer, and it was convenient to other amenities. The price wasn't too bad, the AC worked great, and the bed was fairly comfortable, though I didn't sleep in the sheets because you never know. After 500 miles, quick check-in was much appreciated. One odd thing: there was a tissue stuffed into the peephole when I shut the door. 🤔

A cozy, clean little room, with nice touches like crown molding, a bathroom window, and end tables on both sides of the bed. It also had a flat screen TV, microwave, and fridge. The owners and staff were fantastic. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

What really made the stay was the friendly staff. The late-night clerk was so nice, let us park under the awning, and kept an eye on our car, motorcycles, and trailer. We stayed outside instead, since the awning space would have left too little room for other travelers. I don't remember her charging for our dog. Other hotels in the area were around $150 a night or more, while we paid about $40-45. The motel was clean and comfortable, with lots of parking, and the family running it gave top-notch service. There's no breakfast, but we only needed a place to sleep. I'm a travel nurse and stay in hotels often. I'd recommend this place to everyone.
