The breakfast area is nice, and the breakfast staff were friendly. There’s also a laundry room and a stovetop, though you have to bring your own cooking utensils. When I arrived, the room wasn’t clean to my standards, so I wiped down the walls, fridge, desk, and doorknobs myself. I stay at places like this often, and it’s unusual for me to have to clean my own room. Maybe the Bears/Packers game had something to do with it. The hotel has a small casino and seems to cater to smokers, despite claiming to be non-smoking. I hate cigarette smoke, only book non-smoking places, and even had to move an ashtray bucket out of my entryway. There was fighting last night, and my 15-year-old heard it too. Listening to adults fight at 11 p.m. on a school night isn’t appropriate. Update: Five US Marshalls just came and got the guy who’d been smoking cigarettes and yelling all night. I’m giving the motel a star back. Cheers, America!
