We moved around between a few places on our first trip to this part of the country, and I wish we’d spent all four days here. It’s quiet, modern, comfortable, and very clean, with seals barking nearby. Trinidad has more places to eat and some nice coastal trails, though everything closes at 8. Prairie Creek and Orick are about a 20-minute drive away. If you’re here to explore the redwoods, this is a great base.

That bed was so comfortable I slept for 12 hours, better than I do at home. The blackout curtains cover the big windows, and there are plenty of outlets. The bathroom was spotless, with a smart flush toilet and waterfall shower; they also provide soap, towels, robes, and a hairdryer. Getting here off the 101 and checking in were both easy. Everything in the hotel was clean, and it looks even better than the photos. There’s a small shop for things you may have forgotten. It’s also only 4-7 minutes from Larrupin for dinner and Beachcomber Cafe for breakfast or lunch. I’d happily recommend it if you’re passing through or staying nearby.

After a run of generic hotels, this cozy little place was such a nice change. The room felt classy, modern, and clean, the accommodations were lovely, and the price was reasonable. The beds were the most comfortable we had between Seattle and San Francisco. We only had one night here, but I’d gladly stay longer or even hold an event here if that were possible. The complimentary coffee was delicious, too.

I loved relaxing in the hot tub in the evening and hearing seals call from out on the water. The surrounding natural beauty is unbelievable. The location is lovely, and my room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I needed help with my luggage, and the staff kindly stepped in. I’ll definitely come back.

A lovely place to stay while exploring Redwood National Forest. The room was spacious and welcoming, and each one has a Keurig with a variety of K-cups.
